Morning walk down Lin Dyke 30th June
50+ Gadwall in various stages of eclipse on Lin Dyke Flash
Large flocks of Swifts hawking plus large numbers of Sand Martins skimming Lin Dyke Pool with many gathering trying to perch on a bush reaching up out of the water
Distant Buzzard was seen circling
A Cuckoo was heard and also had a great view of it as it flew over the path in front of me
Common Tern flew overhead
Then a Grasshopper Warbler heard reeling close by, I had a look over into the meadow to see if I could see it, as it sounded very close, then I met a couple of local birders who put me onto the Grasshopper Warbler as it showed well singing from a scrub rose, I got terrific views of it as it reeled from a perch within the bush

Hi
This is confusing. Are you a new Robert as we already have an established expert in photography Robert. I thought the new system had got rid of the glitch that sometimes allowed people to use forum names that had already been taken. Here is our original Robert
Best wishes Chris
