On the walk along the River Aire to Lin Dyke I encountered a swan doing its ablutions and some rather nice photos
this one definitely was not going to the ball!
the mallard was readying though
the camera and computer now need a rest, and my knees need a rub with linament. Where do we go tomorrow?

Andrew,what is the walk down to Lin Dyke like ? we are usually pushed a bit for time so take the car to the Lin Dyke end.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Pete, it is very flat track, at the moment it is pretty muddy along the river not deep but wet, and yesterday it was getting windy and grey so not a lot to see- except the swans. A local did tell me that they do get the sparrowhawk and kestrel around that area. My view would be a nice day stroll for exercise, not birding and that suited me.
