I'm going to start with one of the most adorable members of the mustelidae family, the Weasel. There have been lots of sightings around the Visitor Centre this week. Usually observations are only fleeting as they are incredibly swift, but will just be long enough to appreciate how miniature and charming this little mammal is.

There is still a Long-eared Owl showing down near Lin Dike, and with 2 Long-eared Owl Safari's left this would be a good opportunity to see it.

Lots of Long-tailed Tits, Tree Sparrows, Gold Finches, Blue and Great Tits and Bull Finches around the Boardwalks and feeds every day. Also Willow and Coal Tits, Redpoll and Siskin have been seen this week too.

Other reports this week include Redwing (All over the reserve, look for them in hedgerows and any trees still with berries on), Water Rail (Pickup hide), Kingfisher (Kingfisher Screen), Tree Creeper (Boardwalk), Curlew (Spoonbill Flash), Jay (Feeders near Visitor Centre) and 3 Buzzards and 1 Redkite (Flying over the reserve).
