Aire Valley Lockdown Update

We know that for many of you, Fairburn Ings and St Aidan’s provide enjoyment and solace in the natural world throughout these challenging times.

In line with Government guidance on essential, daily exercise outdoors, during Second Lockdown this is what is open to you in the Aire Valley as of Thursday 5 November:

Fairburn Ings

At Fairburn Ings our car park will be open daily during lockdown (6am- 6pm) and trails are open daily as normal (with one way systems in place on some of our trails to allow for social distancing) 

Our toilets and accessible toilets will be open daily during lockdown (9.30am- 4pm), however we are unable to offer baby change at this time. We continue to ask that all visitors, except those who are exempt from doing so, please wear a face-covering while in our toilets.  

Our visitor centre, hides, shop and takeaway refreshment will be closed from Thursday 5 November for the duration of this lockdown. We are also not running events. 

Please follow all current Government guidance around social distancing, who you can visit with, hygiene and follow all signage on-site.

We urge you to also follow Government guidance on non-essential travel and please stay local to your nearest reserves and greenspaces. 

 

St Aidan's
 

At St Aidan's our car park will be open daily during lockdown (6am- 6pm) and trails are open daily as normal. 

Our toilets will be open daily during lockdown (9.30am- 4pm) including accessible toilets and baby change which are located in the visitor centre. If you require the use of these facilities during your visit please see staff or call the centre on 0113 232 0529. We continue to ask that all visitors, except those who are exempt from doing so, please wear a face-covering while in our toilets.
