Now is a great time to visit the RSPB at Darts Farm, lots of fantastic Damsel & Dragonflies here around the ponds. There is an amazing array of different types, in colour, shape and size, as can been seen in these images.

Huge numbers of Damselflies are on site at present, and this hasn’t gone unnoticed by pairs of Reed Warblers which busily hop & fly around the waters edge collecting them to feed their hungry young.
Along with the very large Carp in the ponds, smaller fish swim about together for safety drifting and weaving among the weeds. The trouble with this though, is they don’t look up! They should as a Kingfisher has returned to the ponds after a 6 month absence, and is busy taking full advantage of this veritable feast.
