Thanks to Pennon Environmental Trust we have been able to continue our work to improve and enhance the visitor experience across the sites. This month saw the installation of a new viewing screen at Exminster Marshes, along the turf path which will enable people to get views into the etland, which previously have not been available.
The screen is located in an area that we are improving for family groups and young people, where we have also provided seating and Gemma, our Visitor Officer, is making a willow shelter. So why not take a walk down the Turf path and have a look for yourself.
We have also just secured planning permission for the installation of a pond dipping platform nearby. We hope that the installation of this together with the upgrade of our facilities on Powderham will be undertaken in the next few months. Situated on the southern side of the reserve, working with the Turf Pub we hope to provide some excellent summer events, so if you are a keen pond dipper; follow the website so not to miss out.
Good to see the Golden Triangle plans are progressing so well. Viewing screen looks fab - heard there was a crane admiring it recently.
