This Sunday sees the next of our guided walks from this season's Autumn walks programme.  If you'd like a copy of the full programme then come and find us at the RSPB information point at the top of Dove Stone's main carpark.  We also have a guided walks mailing list - please ask us for more details.  Back to this Sunday:  a 4 mile,  3 hour jaunt through woodland, along the banks of Yeoman Hey reservoir and up to Greenfield dam.  On route we’ll be looking for birds such as Dipper,  Siskin,  Great Spotted Woodpecker and Jay amongst others to name a few whilst talking about some of the stories and history of this corner of Dove Stone.

We’ll do a circular route and come back via  a lunch stop at Ashway Gap that looks up to Dove Stone rocks where we may see the Peregrines - although there have been recent sightings of two Peregrines over Alderman's Brow in the last week.  The walk will probably be muddy in places, so you will need suitable walking boots and waterproofs in case of poor weather.  Binoculars will be an advantage although there will be a fee pairs to borrow on the day.

The walk leaves from the RSPB visitor information point, at the top of the Dove Stone car park at 10.30.  See you there...!
