Good day at Dove Stone, here's what's been seen today. From Ashway Gap good sightings of both male and female Peregrines today. Also from Ashway Gap Goldcrest, Dipper, three Stonechats ( two adults and first year male ), Raven and Meadow Pipit. Around Yeoman Hay and Greenfield Res sightings of two Grey Herons, two Dipper and Grey Wagtail, Pied Wagtail plus Red Grouse ( seen but not heard ). On the trail between Binn Green and the corner of Dove Stone res we've had sightings of Great Spotted Woodpecker and a group of about eight Long Tailed Tit. Up at Binn Green the feeders are still providing good views of Brambling, Greenfinch, regular sightings of Goldfinch ( including a large flock at one point ), Nuthatch, Coal Tit, Blue Tit and Great Tit as well as Wren, Robin and Blackbird. Over at the main car park also on the feeders good views of plenty of Greenfinch as well as Nuthatch. More soon...
