It was a fairly quiet day at Binn Green, where most of the feeders have now been removed. The highlight was a great spotted woodpecker, with a supporting cast of siskin, blackbird, chaffinch, blue tit, wood pigeon and pheasant.
Down at Ashway Gap there was a pair of canada geese with their family, grey and pied wagtail feeding in the spillway, meadow pipit, song thrush, long tailed tit, robin, pheasant, a pair of mallard and a magpie.
Patience was finally rewarded in mid afternoon by the appearance of a peregrine which stayed around for about half an hour.
