Not such a 'Wild Wednesday' with the recent sightings I'm afraid ....
For those interested in seeking out a new arrival there was a whitethroat reported from Bolton Ings. Considering this little guy has travelled from the South of the Sahara Desert to join us it is well worth a trip out to see it. You can get an idea of the whitethroat's appearance and call from the RSPB website and then hopefully, if it is still hanging around you might be able to find it ..
The 2 whooper swans are still on Wombwell Ings.
House martins were reported as being seen over Old Moor today .. Just waiting for the swifts now !!
As is the 'norm' .. you can use the previous sightings to get a pretty good picture of the rest of the things you will see and hopefully now is the time when this year's new arrivals will add to the tally ..
