Hello again, the excitement at Old Moor today has been about the arrival and good views of a Tundra Bean Goose. If you click on this link to a post on Twitter, hopefully you will get a good view of it too. Thanks to Ryan McClarence for sharing his photo on Twitter.
Here's the sightings summary from today - click on the image for a larger and sharper view.... It seems to have shrunk a bit in the upgrade, but time will tell!
John Seeviour has also tweeted his sightings from Bolton Ings today. He saw - A family of 8 mute swans (4 juvs), 6 mallard, 1 great crested grebe, 46 teal, 1 tufted duck, 6 pochard, 13 cormorant, 3 grey heron, 2 LBB Gull, 2 common gull, 57 lapwing, 2 dunlin, and 3 green woodpecker. Thank you John.
I'll finish for today with a photo from yesterday on Green Lane. It's not often I see a robin gorging on juicy red berries, but yesterday morning was one of those times. Usually I see them with a worm or seeds from the feeders. Down in one this one went....
