Hello, I had an afternoon visit to OM today, lovely to see so many people in the hides, thanks go to the 2 coach trips that came today and we hope you enjoyed your visit!
The highlight for me was watching (and getting good views of) a goldcrest near Wath Ings. Lovely!
Also around Wath Ings were a small flock of long tailed tits flitting around... gorgeous!
On the car park feeders there were 3 pairs of bullfinches, blue and great tits, magpies and blackbirds.
A willow tit was seen from the garden hide.
Wader Scrape - a goldeneye and 2 pairs of goosander, wigeon, teal, golden plover, lapwing, starlings, pochard, tufted ducks and gadwall.
The was a peregrine and also a buzzard over the Mere.
A sparrowhawk was seen over the Field Pools and also from the garden hide.
A weasel was seen twice from the Field Pool east - once with a mouse!
The was also a goldcrest around the Family Hide/Field Pool East hide and a heron was spotted!
That's it, hope you have had a lovely weekend :)
