Hello again, it's been a warm, blustery day at Old Moor and here is what was out and about at Old Moor.
As per usual, if you click on the picture itself, it will give you a larger and sharper view of the map.
Karen (assist warden) also tweeted a sighting of a male bearded tit.
Butterflies at Old Moor today included common blue, small white and speckled wood.
Dragonfly sightings were of brown and migrant hawker, common and ruddy darter.
Here's a photo of a Greenshank on the Field Pools. Very nice to watch too.
I also have sightings from Adwick today.
Gary Stones was at there and tweeted the following sightings: A Spotted Flycatcher, a male Redstart, 2 Whitethroat and 2 robins which were all under the same tree! Gary also saw a Lesser Whitethroat, 10+ Yellow Wagtail, a Common Sandpiper and 11 Snipe.
Gary kindly let us use the photo that he took of the male redstart at Adwick today. Thanks Gary.
Finally for today, I have a little video of one of the snipe on the Field Pools. It was enjoying having a bath and was also lovely to watch.
That's it, enjoy the rest of Saturday and if you have any further sightings then please let us know. :)
