One or two things to be able to report today..

There were at least 3 chiffchaffs around the car park area of Old Moor and a blackcap next to the gate leading to the Trans-Pennine Trail.

2 little egrets were seen flying over Wath Ings and there were 30 or so sand martins still feeding over the water.

The Field Pool had 4 snipe.

Wombwell Ings had a little ringed plover, 10 redshanks, 1 whooper swan, a meadow pipit and there were 66 golden plovers in the field beside the reserve.

The Ospreys are moving now so keep your eyes to the skies !!!

Update as of 20:00

Wombwell Ings had 2 whoopers and a little egret was on Edderthorpe Flash.
