The day was more than a little damp in the Dearne Valley and yet, I’m glad to say there were plenty of folk visiting Old Moor today. Here’s a summary of what was seen…

Sadly, it wasn’t really a day for photos so here’s one I saved from earlier in the week. Old Moor regular, Richard Turner, sent me the following photograph taken by his mate Cyril Turner. Thanks to both!

Messrs Turner spotted a kingfisher from Field Pool West, sitting on the bushes to the left of the hide. In fact the bird was there again today and fishing from a hover directly in front of the hide!
