The Ospreys returned in April they are nesting on the Bay unfortunately not on the tree with the camera but on one to far from electrical source so no pictures this year.
We know the EP is one of the pair but as yet we have not been able to establish the identity of the female and she is sitting on the nest.
Our camera nest was occupied by a mallard when they returned so we believe this moved them to a new site.
Unfortunately this nest has been raided by crows during the 3-4th May resulting to its abandonment by the female.
We will try to keep you up to date with events as and when we can safely gather more information. In the mean time we will keep our fingers crossed that another pair of ospreys find the nest cam appealing and take possession next year.
Is there any further news on the nest? Did you establish who the female is? Have you details on the chicks: how many, sex, ring numbers?
