The 7.84m tide combined with the south westerly wind and low pressure resulted in an event I thought I would never see. The last time it happened was over twenty years ago the whole of the reserve was under water the following pictures are just a couple that I have selected to give an impression of how far the water came in.

View across field 2 from the northern end of the Willow Biomass to Wigtown this had 60 sheep on it an hour before this picture all now safe on higher ground now.
The two trees on the extreme left are on the flood bank of the Bladnock. The Bladnock can be seen beyond them.
