Today is the RSPB National Feed the Birds Day, but tomorrow, Sunday 30th October I will be making free bird feeders with visiotrs in the Wigtown County Buildings. The Visitor Centre and Osprey Room will also be open and staffed by my fantastic volunteers, so come along and join the fun.
Hi there :) I never stop feeding the birds , they just don't frequent my garden so much in the summer. And I haven't seen a Blackbird in months :( I hope my resident Bb shows up soon. I clean the birdie water containers every week and the feeders when they need it. And I get all my birdie food from the RSPB - it's all EXCELLENT quality . Hope you had lots of visitors (a bit far for me to come, sadly - as I said to OG in a post elsewhere - I could live in Wigtown)
Also free Feed the Birds Day packs are available from the RSPB.
Each pack contains information on:
• How, what and when to feed birds
• Gardening and creating homes for wildlife
• Bird ID guide
• Activities including building a wildlife stack or making bird cake
• 10% discount offer on bird food and feeders
(Only 1 pack request per household)
