Greg Pepper and Craig Jones, two of our wildlife surveyors have been out and about this morning......

Today they have seen the first pied flycatchers at Coombes this year.  Three males were recorded.   Best place to hang out to try and see one is nr the pond in the middle of the reserve (nr the cottage also in the heart of the reserve i.e. Clough Meadow Cottage).

The redstart heard singing next to Clough Meadow Cottage yesterday is there again today.

All the usual suspects including drumming woodpeckers and ........

lots more willow warblers arrived

Blackcap - 2 singing males

Goosander - 2 flying down the valley

Raven over the valley
