Shelduck are still present in large numbers across the reserve, totalling more than 500. Small flocks of Goldfinches and Linnets were also seen in various locations around the reserve and Whitethroats, Chiffchaffs, Nightingales, Skylarks and Sedge Warblers were also present in several points around the reserve. A Turtle Dove was also heard "purring" near Allen's Pond. There are indications that a number of species are breeding, but the only "hard" evidence that was seen was a pair of Black Headed Gull chicks on one of the islands in Radar Pool.
