Trip to Cliffe on morning of Sunday 2nd October @ low tide (highlights and counts): 

Passerine migrants

Lesser Whitethroat: 1 (bushes west of Elf Pool)
Whinchat: 1 (near Black Barn)
Chiff Chaff: 1 (singing!)
Blackcap: 2 

Waders

Ruff: 2 on Black Barn; 1 on Radar
Green Sandpiper: 1 (reported on drainage canals)
Black-tailed Godwit: 11 on Radar; 4 on Conoco (may have included Bar-tailed G.)
Lapwing: 91 feeding on fields W of reserve @ 7:00am, many more on reserve
Redshank: est. 200-300 (mainly on Radar Islands & Conoco)
Greenshank: 2 on Flamingo; 2 on Radar

Wildfowl

Brent Goose: 10 flying east over Thames at 8:05am, 2 more at 8:20am
Pintail: 2 on Radar
Wigeon: 120+ on Radar
Pochard: 100+ mainly on Conoco
Greylag Goose: 175 counted on Radar
Shoveler: 4-5 on Radar/Pontoon
Teal: 7 on Radar 

Others

Kingfisher (by sluice gate on Flamingo)
Sparrowhawk (prob. fem.)
Yellow-legged Gull : 5 on creek
Goldcrest
Linnet
Reed Bunting
