Following a tip-off from Paul Larkin, I headed up to Coastguards Pool to view four newly arrived ruff. Whilst pointing them out to two visiting RSPB members from Enfield we were treated to a fantastic fly-by from a red kite. This made for species No. 42 on our visitors day list! Paul also mentioned that he had seen one drake garganey from the second mound overlooking Black Barn Pools.
