We have received a great list of species for Cliffe Pools this week, some  from our own volunteers based at North Kent Marshes and also from Margaret Bailey visiting the area from her home in Bedfordshire. Included in the sightings are: Avocet, coot, little egret, mallard, pochard, litte grebe, great crested grebe, lapwing, marsh harrier, starling, great tit, black headed gull, crow, lesser black backed gull, widgeon, chaffinch, goldfinch, long tailed tit, blue tit, greenshank, redshank, curlew, linnet, blackcap, white throat, black tern, common tern, red necked phalarope, tufted duck, commorant, montigues harrier, grey heron, pheasant, moorhen, grey plover, black tailed godwit, common gull, great black backed gull, stock dove, wood pigeon, collard dove, kingfisher, green woodpecker, swallow, house martin, wren, robin, blackbird, willow warbler, long tailed tit, magpie, jackdaw, house sparrow and some very noisy marsh frogs.
