Kestrel hunting along the tide line - Scargavel Point.
Some of the 120+ Pintails which floated out on the estuary at high tide.
3rd January.
A splendid Pintail withTeal, in front of the hide. Thanks Guy Broome.
Several skeins of Barnacles flew west along the marsh edge, early afternoon.
A late aerial display of Dunlin, Knot and Grey Plover catches a few rays of sunlight round Scargavel Point.
ROUND THE CARDURNOCK PENINSULAR
Leucistic Barnacle with flock at Anthorn (Guy Broome).
400+ Pinkfeet grazing in fields next to the road from Bowness to Kirkbride (NY 226612) at 12.50pm.
About a dozen Barnacles were with this flock.
