A special discovery day is set to be held at RSPB Campfield Marsh this bank holiday, and staff and volunteers at the nature reserve near Bowness on Solway are inviting families to join in the fun.

Taking place on Sunday 27 May, the event will include an exciting range of activities, running throughout the day, including pond dipping, bug hunting and wildlife themed crafts.

Following these adventures, participants can refresh with a hot drink and selection of cakes as well as picking up a bargain on the book stall, perusing the items on the RSPB sales stand and learning more about volunteering opportunities.

Our popular discovery day is an ideal opportunity for families to explore Campfield Marsh. Spring is an ideal time to go wild and discover the wonderful wildlife that this season has to offer. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff and volunteers will be on hand around the reserve to help you learn more about this special place and why it is so important for nature.

The discovery day will run from 10.30am-4pm when participants can drop-in any time. Entry is free, donations welcome.
