We've just received news that ECO Catering, Bempton Cliffs' very own purveyors of local and vegan food, has been placed second in the Guardians list of the Yorkshire Coasts 'best budget eats'. This is excellent news and we are very proud to be associated with the family run business headed by Katy Wheelwright. Not only is all the food carefully and ethically made, it's also innovative and delicious. The Guardian article mentions two items in particular, the herby cheesejack and the lavender scones, that it recommends, but we suggest that you also sample the freshly baked bread and the chocolate brownie.

In summer, the ECO Catering van is normally at the reserve every day except Thursdays, but check the blog for variations. Once you've sampled the food however, don't forget that the reserve's other main attraction, the seabirds, are just a short walk (or waddle) away!
