Back in September last year, some of you may have seen Marshsongs - a theatrical performance by Gainsborough based theatre group Kismet, telling the story of Beckingham Marshes. This was an innovative project and the first time the RSPB has worked with a theatre group to produce a dramatic performance like this.

Well, we are very pleased to announce that Marshsongs has won a national award recently. The production was nominated alongside three others regionally, from a selection of around 40 performances for the Best Musical award at the annual National Operatic and Dramatic Association Awards (NODA). However, Kismet members were then thrilled to go the distance and win the award, with what was their first venture into musical theatre performance. And with comments from NODA such as 'quite remarkable' and 'most impressed', Kismet's success is no surprise.

Congratulations to everyone at Kismet for your excellent achievement and for all the hard work that everyone involved in the project has put in.
