The shortest day of the year is almost upon us! To brighten up this dark time of year, we will be running a special mid winter lantern procession at Baron's Haugh on Sunday 7 December. The plan is to make some amazingly beautiful lantern out of willow branches and tissue paper, and later take them for a twilight walk through the woods. No doubt it will be very atmospheric indeed! There are two sessions to build the lanterns, starting at 10am and 1pm on the day. The event has been so popular that there are only spaces in the morning now. Those taking part in the morning do get to return at 4pm to join the afternoon folk for the procession through the trees.

If you are interested in coming along to what should be a very special experience, please contact Stephen Owen on 07872 814911, or email baronshaugh@rspb.org.uk

And don't forget to bring a torch!
