This coming Saturday (18 July), we will be hosting a fun afternoon looking at the different kinds of trees growing in the woods at Baron's Haugh. Plenty of people are really interested in knowing what the trees are around them; this will be the perfect chance to find out more. In February, we ran a winter tree identification course. This one, the summer version, will be far more straight forward... as they now actually have leaves! Fortunately there are plenty of different tree species growing near the main car park at Baron's Haugh, so we won't have to go far. If you would like to know your oak from your ash, or your bird cherry from your wych elm, then this event could be for you. Working out what different trees are isn't too tricky, and this afternoon should be lots of fun for all ages. The afternoon kicks off at 2pm and will go on for around two hours.
