I've enjoyed the live cam from Arne - first Kestrels, then Swallows and now it is on a very popular bird feeder
I've seen nuthatches, great tits etc and here is a hungry Grey Squirrel - hope they keep refilling the feeder!

Hi Wendy - It is actually a buzzards nest - We have actually seen buzzards come down to it already - they did this at this time last year but didn't actually use it. I have just switched it over so there is at least a picture to see whilst the feeder cam is in for repair. I will let you know when it is up and running or if we decide to move over to something else more permanently.
Regards
Michael
Thanks for that info Michael - suspected it was BoP nest of some variety so hope we see some! Will you be setting up Kestrel cam this year & when???
Hi folks, the feeder cam is now back up and running, and can be seen from the Hut (not on the website as yet). Meanwhile a pair of buzzards have been very active this morning bringing sticks into their nest! Watch this space...
Ha Ha D - good job Tesco's is open 24/7 or we'd have no food in this house!! New rule here is all domestics during the hours of darkness only LOL !!
Thank you Laura for that info - am watching now!!
Hi all - well it is nice to see birdfeeder cam back in action but now I'm going to be greedy & ask if you are still going to cover the Buzzard nest & also have the Kestrel cam?????
Bet if they asked for donations for more webcams at Arne lots of people would stump up - me included D !!!
The feeder has been fixed and is back for the time being. The buzzard nest is fairly quiet at the momment but if they do nest successfully this year we will probably focus on them as it will be the first buzzards nest to be filmed in Dorset. Hopefully the kestrels will nest again and we will stream them to the screen in the centre. But watch this space and we will see what happens.
Thanks Michael - am waiting for my Kestrels here too!!
