The theme of this year’s Oxford Farming Conference is ‘Facing Change, Finding Opportunity.’ We are excited that RSPB will be there running our own breakfast session on Building Resilience through Nature Friendly Farming.

The impacts of climate change and the need for resilience have been writ large across our landscape this year. But we know that the climate and nature crisis are two sides of the same coin. Our session will explore how nature friendly farming can provide a real opportunity in the face of change, building resilience both physically and financially into farming systems.

The panel will be chaired by our chief executive Beccy Speight who will be joined by a distinguished panel: Professor Lynn Dicks, University of Cambridge, Jenny Clark, Sustainable Agriculture Project Manager at Arla, and Patrick Barker, a regenerative farmer and member of the Nature Friendly Farmers Network (NFFN) will discuss how adopting nature friendly practices to green supply chains and engaging in certification and accreditation schemes can both benefit nature and business bottom lines.

If you are going to the conference, please do come along to our session with will take place at 8am on Friday 10 January. Breakfast will be provided! We look forward to seeing you there. A recording of the event will also be available afterwards.
