The sun was out this weekend, bringing many people to Hope Farm for Open Farm Sunday. With around 550 visitors, and a wide range of activities to entertain, both the hosting team and the people who came to see us seemed to enjoy and excellent day.

Comments from visitors were incredibly positive after a long day in the sunshine. Children and adults alike enjoyed the variety of activities available, the welcoming nature of the farm, and a good chance to find out firsthand what we do here.
A wide variety of people came to see us of all ages too, from farmers to conservationists, to members of the public who had very little previous understanding in how we put wildlife-friendly food on your table. We are pleased that all these people felt well catered for them.
Throughout the day, the tractor and trailer ride remained the most popular event at the farm, with two trailers and the touring team working tirelessly to tell people about our work – so many thanks for that.
The farm machinery proved very popular too, with an opportunity to sit inside the cabs, and local farmers staying nearby to tell them about how each machine is used throughout the year.
The more child-focused activities seemed to be a hit. Arts and crafts, a well-walked nature trail, the making of a bug hotel, and a gigantic jigsaw all helped to entertain the younger folks coming to the farm.

Altogether, every person involved in Open Farm Sunday pulled together to host a very enjoyable event for those involved. It was a roaring success and we look forward to seeing you for the same again next year.
