It's the Friday before the summer bank holiday and I'm sure everyone is excited to have an extra day of enjoying what's left of the UK summer. So in light of said excitement, this week's photo of the week reflects just that.
The bearded seal is a rare occurrence to our UK shores tending to stay within Arctic and sub-Arctic regions. But occasionally we're graced with their joyous and smiley presence. They're unique with their whiskery beards and a voice like no other seal you've heard before. On top of their quirks, bearded seals seem to be a good laugh too.
FRIYAY! (Photo courtesy of Nature's Home reader Dave Potter)
Thanks go to Dave Potter for sending this cheery photo he took at Lewick Harbour in Shetland this summer.

My moustache is a bit like that at the moment. Think it needs a trim...
