There are just 22 days until we have a chance to vote in the referendum on the UK membership of the European Union. Today, you can have another chance to find out what it all means for nature and our environment.
Back in April, the RSPB challenged both the Leave and Remain campaigns to explain how their stance will help protect and enhance the environment.
Both these campaigns - Vote Leave and Britain Stronger in Europe – reacted warmly to our challenge, and have provided written statements setting out why they believe their proposition will best deliver for nature.
In addition, they nominated prominent national politicians to make their case for nature on film: Caroline Lucas MP for Britain Stronger in Europe and George Eustice MP for Vote Leave. You can read the statements and watch the videos here.
We are delighted that both campaigns embraced this opportunity to speak directly to our members. Both campaigns have made their respective cases clearly and passionately. We greatly appreciate the time and thought they have given to our challenge.
