The RSPB and National Trust have joined forces to take on the management of a large chunk of the Peak District called the Eastern Moors. This is the first time that we have worked together in quite this way, and we are very much looking forward to it.
Here's what the Yorkshire Post said about it.
A love of the natural world demonstrates that a person is a cultured inhabitant of planet Earth.
Now that I like. I also like the words "The Moors will still be owned by the Peak District National Park Authority but will be managed by the two charities through the Eastern Moors Partnership.".
Now try "The public forests will still be owned by the Forestry Commission but will be managed by XXXXXX through the XXXXXX Partnership." That saves money but doesn't lose public ownership and control. Now I like that.
