And...maybe a good thing to do - back Silver by Nature each way in the Grand National.
I was born early on the morning of Grand National day in 1958 (29 March). My father did the 'phone around of relatives later in the day and spoke to my uncle in South Wales. But being a couple of blokes they transferred all the relevant information except what I was to be called. My uncle incurred some harsh words from female relatives when he failed to tell them what I was called. Later in the day he went into a bookmaker's for his once-a-year flutter and noticed a horse running called Mr What. That seemed to be appropriate and he backed it - and Mr What won at 18/1.
A love of the natural world demonstrates that a person is a cultured inhabitant of planet Earth.
Hi Mark
I think for your next job you are going to have to become a bookie!!
I would contest that gambling on this race is a good thing to do Mark - especially if you care about animal welfare. Check here :-

I only bet on one race a year and that is the 4.15 today. I got married on Grand National day, backed 2 horses that came in first and second. That left my new mother in law to go and get the winnings, she never forgave me.
