One of the great things about working on a Futurescapes project is being able to find out about all the amazing things our partners get up to! Around the Inner Forth there are so many different organisations doing really great stuff, one of those, the Central Scotland Forest Trust (CSFT to you and me) is running a whole host of training events and wants you to get involved! I shall leave it to Emilie from CSFT to give you the details........
Following the success of the programme of free biodiversity training events in 2012, CSFT have secured funding from SNH, the Scottish Forestry Trust and the Rainford Trust to run 2 more programmes in 2013 and 2014. As before, all events will be free to attend and are aimed at members of community groups, or interested members of the general public, though are open to all. There are still 8 events to be held in 2013, all with spaces available, so check out the programme on the CSFT website.
This year, the training will cover species identification, survey techniques and methodologies as well as elements of practical conservation management. Specific topics include wildflower identification, Phase 1 habitat surveying and woodland management.
The full programme and details of the individual events and how to book on can be found on the CSFT website: http://www.csft.org.uk/out-a-about/things-to-do

So if you live around the area why not get involved!
