I know, I know, its been a few months since my last post and to answer your questions there has been no extended holiday to the Bahamas (although if anyone is in need of a travel companion....) and we have not been spending our days playing board games (we try to keep that to lunch times.....). In actual fact the Inner Forth project has really taken off!! So I am going to use that as my excuse for not posting for a while, it has just been far too busy!! We have new members of staff starting starting at Skinflats, there have been new projects developing and most excitingly of all, the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative has officially started! Please go and have a look at the website to find out all about the fantastic projects all our partners have planned!
It has not all been new projects and new people however, in May Joanne Dempster completed her contract and went off to pastures new and a job with Glasgow museums. Joanne did a terrific job in getting people interested in the fantastic wildlife of the Inner Forth, and also led the completion of the Inner Forth Film Project which has really been the highlight of the year so far! This project saw school children from two local schools in the area create films about the fantastic wildlife that lives in the Inner Forth. The pupils and teachers had a great time exploring the area and the project finished with fantastic premier events at each school (red carpet, popcorn and all!). It was brilliant working with both these schools and instead of me talking any more about it, why don't you go and watch the films for yourself and see what all the fuss is about. The Films can be found on RSPB Scotland's Vimeo page and are entitled Airth in Nature and Our RSPB Adventure. Grab a cup of tea and enjoy!

Let us know what you think of the films by leaving comments, it would be great to get your thoughts! Oh and any recommendations for board games would be good too.........
