Walking along the beach at Culmore, Derry (N.I.), the sun still up. Comorants gathering on the far shore, and a Little Egret, all white, is wading in the Foyle estuary. Thought it was one of the Herons at first, but no, my first sighting of one!!

was walking along roe side of foyle this week, wide mudflats when the tides out. keeping my eyes out for cormorants, plenty of whooper swans though.
