I step onto Croxley Common Moor and all else disappears. The rustle of leaves, the soft swishing of grasses, the gurgling of the River Gade. Herons, woodpeckers, warblers. If you're lucky, a kingfisher. Peace. Serenity. Birdsong. My place.
