Today the RSPB is drawing attention to worrying news that the EU budget may reduce the element of CAP that applies to wildlife friendly farming

Consider signing up to the email letter to the President in an attempt to avoid this; I have just done so and it is easy.

This is worrying as the element of CAP that is likely to remain has no link to wildlife whatsoever.

Thanks Bob,
Signed!
Interestingly we need to reduce rubbish going to landfill by recycling to EU targets, but still they really don't care about the earth we are trying to save!

Done, shared on FB and generally harrassed my pals to do it too.... :o)

Thanks for flagging this Bob and thank you to everyone who has already taken action. It's been all systems go here to get the message out that we can't let this happen!
If the EU continues with this plan, there is no doubt that wildlife will suffer, with the possible ultimate UK extinction of some threatened species, including the turtle dove and cirl bunting.
Over 4449 people have now emailed Barroso but we still need more help and we only have until Wednesday. Please do ask as many people as you can to click through and send Barroso an email.
Thanks again, more updates to follow.

The EU announces its budget plans tomorrow.
If you haven't already, please do send an email to President Barroso asking him not to scrap the payments farmers receive for protecting vulnerable wildlife.
And if you have, please please please email your friends and family asking them to do the same!
