Last weekend we met some very special people and saw some of our favourite seabirds.
The weekend’s organised site visits were arranged to show supporters of our Sea Life Guardian regular giving scheme what we’re doing with their money.
The visits were well attended with Sea Life Guardians travelling to their favourite seabird reserves around the UK. RSPB staff and volunteers were on hand to lead guided walk and answer questions. Stuart Nelson, RSPB’s Direct Marketing Manager responsible for the Sea Life Guardians scheme said: ‘It was a privilege to meet so many enthusiastic and generous supporters. This weekend was a great opportunity to show our supporters what we’re doing at our coastal reserves and how their donations are making a difference’.
Sea Life Guardians are a group of supporters giving us a regular donation to support our marine work. Created to fund important sea bird research and conservation, as well as support our campaign for marine protected areas the Sea Life Guardians scheme has grown in the last eighteen months to become one of our most popular regular giving schemes.
It may have been blustery but the glorious early spring sunshine certainly kept the smiles on people’s faces. That and the site and smell of the seabirds obviously!
Sign up to become a Sea Life Guardian here . Thank you to everyone currently supporting our seabirds.
