Back in November we broke the news that a coal road had been proposed to run straight through the middle of Harapan. Since then we’ve been working away behind the scenes to try and ensure that this doesn’t happen.
There’s not much to update you on at the moment – we’ve written again to the Government and we’re currently trying to secure a meeting with the Minister of Forestry. Meanwhile the team on the ground are continuing to rally support against the road. When we know more we'll be sure to let you know.
In the meantime though, we thought it’d be great to share with you a little reminder of why we’re working to protect and restore this piece of forest on the other side of the world...
