I haven't been to Felixstowe Ferry for a while so when there was a break in the rain today I popped down there, suitably armed with my camera. There was very little about but the usual suspects were happy to pose for me:
Got to have a cheeky bum view of the pair of them:
'No, I wasn't a budgie in a previous life. However fluffed up I look.'
One of a few black-headed gulls:
A crow checks out the jetty:
'It's all right for you. You get to go inside when it starts to rain.'
It had, in fact, started to rain so I headed home!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Intrepid you Clare, thanks for the cheer on this ***awful day!

The Gulls always seem to be deep in thought...

Thank you Clare, I'm a fan of gulls!

Lot to learn
Grey day indeed 98mm of Rain over 48 hours flooding all over Devon... Needs to dry out!!
Lovely Gulls, Clare. Hope your weather improves. We even had a bit of sun here in west Surrey today in between both light and heavy rain.
Derek, I hope you have your wet suit on!
Kind regards, Ann
