Robert Y said: The male is believed to be a Scottish bird, ringed HR7, while the female was born at Rutland Water and is known as Blue 24. Finally she has found a home.
Finally indeed! And trust her to find a ringed male for us to bond with ;)
Thanks a million, Rob :)

This is lovely news, she so deserves someone and somewhere of her own. Look forward to any updates.
Lovely to have this announced. Clearly he hasn't heard of philopatry, but lovely to know he returned this year

Viv,
Last i heard was in around a week and a bit the first egg should hatch. Unfortunately there is no Live webcam, the project is still in its infancy and they can only do very basic imaging. they are using trail cameras that have an SMS card in, Theoretically, they transmit photos to a phone, but the signal there is somewhat erratic, so they don't always send.
Hopefully they will release some more in due course.
Such good news Rob. I so appreciate you starting this thread. I always reffer to HR 7 (to myself)as RH 7 Royal Highness 7 cos I was so pleased to read about the pairing in FB.
Nice to "see" you CIRRUS
