“A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.”
Wow! Fabulous photos everyone. I think I'll give up now!!!!
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Thanks everyone. Some fantastic photographs.
Everyone's welcome to join our Flickr group 'Love Nature' - any wildlife photos very welcome.

Good Idea, http://www.flickr.com/photos/40261931@N06 Thanks for the Group invite Katie F, I'm in will load soon.
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.

Without wishing to rain on your parade Katie but do to the popularity of nature groups and the pulling power of the brand name RSPB, the chances are that the group could pull in a sizable membership over time (1m members of the RSPB alone). So unless controls and rules are put in place it could be just another dumping ground. Rules like one or two images a day, certain standards and in keeping with the theme. Awards to act as stepping stones to higher levels and a sweeper to deter rule breakers. More and more groups on FlickR are having to adopt these procedures else someones pride and joy slides off page one in a matter of half a hour or so never to see the light of day again.
I've been playing with my pics all day! How time flies.

Hello
Yes, the RSPB has more than 1 million members, but they aren't all on Flickr and they certainly haven't joined our group yet!
Everyone is welcome to join and post as many photos as they like. If things start getting out of hand we'll take a look at it, but for now it's definitely a case of 'the more, the merrier'!
I'd also like to remind you Flickr fiends that photos of wildlife and nature other than birds are most definitely welcome!
Katie

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box

This is my link. I have not added many pics but it is much easier to load them on here than this website one at a time (or is it just me that thinks that)

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...
