It is so dull an miserable today, just like yesterday it's hardly getting light at all! Bring back the snow! We have no snow left now, just patches of ice where snow used to be and my dog is now all upset!

Kathy and Dave - Great photo I think that guy needs a bigger shovel! But hey, look at the side there are people going about their business as usual life hasn't ground to a halt even with a mountain of snow to cross to get from one side to another!
I bet those people would be disgusted at us if they saw the way things grind to a standstill today!
I love it. Looks stunning, its healthy. Yes the country comes to a standstill, - thats a disgrace.. The rest of Europe carries on, with feet of it. Yes ,I know, they get it year a fter year and have the infrastructure to cope with it all.. Yes wildlife suffers, but then it did years ago when we had REAL winters.
Personally I hope it comes back tomorrow like they say.
Hi all,
I just love the snow - we go skiing quite alot and I revel in the cold air and fresh fall of snow - you can't beat it. Sometimes it's so cold that your breath catches in your throat and then the adrenelin pumps in at the sight of a run and you forget all about it.
Over here I loved it when we got snow especially as it was even more than was forecast for Essex. Admittedly I was worried for the wildlife but the snow we had wasn't for long thankfully and hopefully alot of our bird life and other small animals were able to cope. I know that wasn't the case for everyone.
I did find it ironic though when I saw geese coming in escaping the harsh weather from countries afar only to find the same here - Can't imagine how fed up they must have felt to fly all that way only to turn up over here expecting milder weather! Can't even do a U turn really can they? Bless them.
Regards
Kerry

I also love the snow. It lifts my heart in the middle of gloomy miserable grey winter days, it's so light and bright, and makes me feel like a child again. I love the walks - everything looks so different, like another place altogether. I find it healthy and the best way to kill coughs and colds. I know it causes severe problems, transport chaos, and everything else mentioned on this thread, but we can't stop it so we may as well get out and about, try to enjoy it and make the most of it.
Kat - my dogs are also suffering withdrawal symptoms!
Cheers, Linda.

Hmmm maybe we need a helpline for dogs suffering from snow withdrawl symptoms!
LOL Kat.
Ring ring, ring ring, ring ring
Welcome to the No-Snow Dogs Helpline
If you are suffering snow withdrawl symptoms, bark once
If your owner has gone missing in the snow, bark twice
If you made a snowman out of your owner and they still haven't defrosted, bark three times
To hear these options again, howl very loudly
Kat - you should be on the stage as a stand-up. That is so funny I have tears running down my face!
Well it looks nice but it will have hammered the Dartford Warbler population. Long tailed tits won't have done too well either.......
Every day a little more irate about bird of prey persecution, and I have a cat - Got a problem with that?
