Another Spring watch special - Snow Watch.. Winter Wildlife Special on BBC Two, 8pm Wednesday 13 January.

As the British Isles face up to the coldest and 'whitest' winter for decades, wildlife is forced to endure huge challenges.

The Springwatch / Autumnwatch team and friends have been out finding how nature adapts and survives for a winter wildlife special on BBC Two, 8pm Wednesday 13 January.

How has your wildlife been coping in the snow?

Have you noticed anything strange in their behaviour?

Or have you taken a fantastic photo of or filmed nature in the snow?

Martin Hughes-Games is waiting to hear your stores. You can upload video to the Your movies gallery or share your photos on the Snow Watch Flickr group.

  • I too enjoyed the Snow Watch prog. very much- what a great team the BBC have put together, they are all very knowledgeable & chatty.  Roll on Springwatch again!

Welcome to Robert the Bruce, you will enjoy this site I'm sure.

Liked your idea, Spikey, of having Kate Humble as Dr. Who!  There's a thought for the BBC!

It made me feel a it better about the survival of our wildlife, although I was very surprised at the death rates of the blue tits even in a normal winter. It seems the smaller the creature or bird, the more he has to fight for survival.

I couldn't agree more Sparrow.  I'd spent much of the day thinking about this winter and our wildlife etc and I truly was worried about everything like Kingfishers, Goldcrests, Wrens and Dartford Warblers etc.  But after watching the show, I felt a little more not relieved, but more reassured that things may not be as bad as maybe I'd begin to make them to myself.

I really enjoyed the whole show - and secretly was hoping for another one!  I've read the usual negative comment here and there but I think its the sort of show we need.  It had a weather aspect to it, but there weren't any cars stuck in ditches, people pushing cars with wheels spinning like crazy and general doom and gloom that you'd find say with the news.  Not forgetting the British public do love their wildlife :-D
