'Wild' Bird Magazines

Hi there

I have to say that there are a few good bird magazines around at the moment - only getting better all of the time.

I get the Scottish Wildlife Trust and the RSPB magazines ones sent through my mail at certain times each year, along with my local Bedford Group information.  All very up to date with all the goings on with the 'wild' birding world.

We buy the 'Wild' Bird Watching Magazine on occasions

Anyone have a favourite magazine here on wild birds, and why?

Regards

Kathy and Dave

  • I subscribe to birdwatching and also get the RSPB 'birds' mag and the Wildlife trust ones. Also was lucky to get 106 old copies of birdwatching magazine from a charity shop for just £9 the lot!!! Plenty of bedtime reading there! :-)

  • I get the RSPB and BTO subscribers magazines.  I also get Bird Watching monthly, but manage to get it at the supermarket on the shopping budget and thus prevent the inevitable Mrs Mac argument at the cost of another 'bloody bird magazine.'

If BBC Wildlife looks good (this months Russian wolves edition is excellent) I'll also get that.

I also cheat and download the Scottish Natural Heritage magazine from their website.  Actually, SNH online has a lot of good stuff if you hunt about a bit.

    I even love magpies

  • RSPB Quarterly (obviously), also Norfolk Wildlife Trust (Tern) and the national quarterly.  We buy Birdwatching each month at the supermarket or newsagent, and we subscribe to BBC Wildlife which we pay for with Tesco clubcard points - if you shop at Tesco it is worth checking out their website as there are loads of magazines you can suncribe to.

  • I'm in my 2nd year of RSPB membership, so get the mag, a girl at work passes on  birdwatching Mag, I am in the LRWT so get those mags, also get BBC Wildlife through Tesco Clubcard points.

Also Countryfile mag..Garden Organic member, so thats another mag.

Gardeners world as well....Cats Protection Mag....erm...
