Simon has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours.
Congratulations Simon - it is richly deserved.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
I'm assuming this is Simon King the Red Deer impressionist, and not Simon King the Hairy Biker.?
If so.. Yippee.
That's good to hear. Well done Simon!
Well done Simom you truly deserve it!
Hi Squirrel
Thank you for pointing the award out to us here on the RSPB.
Great news he deserves it.
He is one of the most enthuiastic bird/wildlife presenters there are about at the moment.
Hopefully one day I will met him at the Bird Fair in the years to come (seen Bill Oddie once already)
{big smile}
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Well done Simon. You are my favourite!
Cheers, Linda.

I didn't notice the thread just for Simon but I do think his award is very well deserved. He is so knowledgeable and not so verbal as some I could mention.
That is fantastic news. Congrats to Mr King!
Please feel free to take a look at my blog - http://nick-young.blogspot.com/
It was Simon who first made me excited by birds when I saw his footage of a barn owl. He was the first wildlife expert I could name! Well done Simon!
